An illuminated wall mural, so the image leads and the light is what brings it forward. The Koi belongs somewhere people actually stop — an entry, a stair landing, a dining room wall — rather than somewhere they walk straight past. Lit, the pattern lifts away from the surface.
Six designs, A through F, in four sizes: 38×80cm (15.0″×31.5″), 47×100cm (18.5″×39.4″), 56×120cm (22.0″×47.2″) and 71×150cm (28.0″×59.1″). Portrait throughout. The 71×150 runs from waist height to above your eyeline and needs clear wall either side to breathe. Check the clear height of the wall first, including anything sitting under it.
The six designs differ properly rather than by colour alone, so pick on the mood of the room instead of matching a palette. Hang it with the centre of the image at eye level. In a hallway that means lower than a picture rail, and lower than feels right at first.
