Built for bedrooms, entryways and living rooms, the Ondine Impasto Floral Canvas is a hand-painted oil where blooms are pulled across the canvas in long knife strokes, giving the flowers a wave-like movement rather than a static arrangement.
What makes it work: the movement. Most floral art sits still. Here the strokes carry in one direction, so the eye travels across the piece instead of stopping at the centre, which makes it a good fit for a wide wall or a spot you walk past rather than sit in front of. The paint is laid thick enough that the ridges cast their own shadow, so the surface reads differently at morning light and lamp light.
Hang it where light rakes across the wall, and keep the wall around it plain so the texture does the work. Every canvas is painted by hand, so stroke and colour placement vary from one to the next. Dust with a dry, soft brush, never a damp cloth. This is an imported piece and lead times are shown at checkout before you pay.
